InShape is a fully integrated 3D modeling, rendering and animation system

extraordinary ease and elegance. Use the built-in object editor to design
even complex wireframe models.
Add photorealistic surface definitions, bump maps, animated waves,
wrinkles, textures or simply bend an existing image around your object.

concrete tunnels, glass floors, mirrored walls, green lawns, boiling
asphalt, or a simple rusty can.
DIRECT A BLOCKBUSTER MOTION PICTURE
Next, step into the scene editor to bring your new world to life. Turn
your computer into a complete film set. Light the scene like a
professional. Use spotlights, ambient, diffuse, sunlight, torch beams,
spinning disco lights, tinted stage lights, or make your lone desk
lamp or neon signs glow in the dark. From candlelight to flood light,
you can now fully utilize the magic power of light and shadows.
Get your camera ready. Add a dramatic perspective, determine your best
angles, shots, close-ups, zooms and pans. Change lenses, add fog, summon
clouds and thunderstorms, film a rainy sky or the most beautiful sunset.
Define a new scale, enter the inner world of a micro chip or zip through
outer space, the scene editor's flexible parameters can be widely
defined and adopt many environments.
SEE YOUR NAME IN A NEW PERSPECTIVE
Invite your critics and sit down for a first screening. Enter the
animation preview mode to judge your camera path, special effects and
optical impact. Everything can be shown or hidden, titles, credits,
trailers, objects or even entire scenes. Several preview features allow
better control over playback speed, display mode and detail richness.
WATCH YOUR PIXELS LIKE YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN THEM BEFORE
Now it's time, to finish your masterpiece. Position your actors, roll
the camera, define your keyframes, set the length of the scene and
raytrace your animation. InShape does the rest. Automatically, with a
constant read-out for absolute control. For even quicker results, relax
the parameters or render single frames or scenes. To get a first
impression, you can even render your current frame using Flat, Gouraud or
Phong shading right on your screen.
InShape contains a rendering engine that fully exploits the graphics
capabilities of your computer system. All computations are done in 24bit.
InShape directly outputs either its own *.IIM or the industry standard
TIFF file format with fully configurable resolutions ranging 80x80 up to
4096x4096 pixels. A dithered 256 color 'work-in-progress' control display
is also available in certain modes. InShape comes complete with it's own
utility to convert the rendered/raytraced images to either greyscale,
ideal for DTP, or TIFF files, or convert existing picture files for use
in the image mapping process.
CAREER OPPORTUNITY: MODELING
InShape has been designed to provide a user-friendly, fully integrated
visualisation environment. All processes start with the creation of
objects. Its modeling facilities make this software easier to use than
many other '2D-only' programs. Basic shapes like cubes, spheres, tubes,
rods, cones and discs can be selected from a menu. Objects can also be
spun, extruded or generated to follow paths to create objects like
springs and tree branches. The path features bezier curves for smooth
shapes like a bent piece of wire. Or build object by placing point in
space and connect them with existing objects. Once the model exists, it
can be moved, resized, rotated, randomized, distorted and placed, always
with total accuracy. You will have an exact overview through the use of
multiple object-layers and hierarchical object dependencies for easy
editing. InShape can also import objects from programs such as AutoCAD,
DynaCADD, Calamus, Outline Art, and Cyber Studio's CAD 3D.
